I just sent this to the tech support website. First time in a while for
me - I thought I was finally immune because of my changed habits. Crap.
I was bitten by the dreaded file overwrite bug again. It was as all the
other times - I had a score open and I had extracted the parts. I was
almost finished formatting and printing the parts, I only had two left,
Alto sax and Flute (3 files open total) when I noticed some key
commands were not working as usual (Scroll-Page View toggle had no
effect, and the menu command neither.) I saved the score, then the Alto
part I was working on, then closed the flute part without saving and
restarted Finale. When I reopened the score, it was the Alto part
instead, saved under the name of my score. My alto part was unaffected,
but I lost my score.
