On Mac, these two settings ("Page Range" and "Right/Left Only") are
on completely different panels in the Print dialog. You have to
select the panels from a drop-down menu.
There is "Copies & Pages," where you can select "Pages: From X to Y".
But if you want only odd or even pages, you have to go to a different
panel, called "Finale 2006". There you can select "Right Only" and
"Left Only," but -- deceptively -- you can also specify a page range
(e.g., "1-4"). As Noel points out, specifying a page range in *this*
field causes the "Right Only" and "Left Only" buttons to have no effect.
So, in other words, if you want to print only right pages, you have
to first select the page range in the "Copies & Pages" panel, and
*then* select "Finale 2006" from the drop-down menu, then choose
"Right Only"
While I'm glad there is *some* way to get this to work (thanks,
Noel!), there is absolutely no good reason why the Page Range field
in the "Finale 2006" panel should disable the "Right Only" and "Left
Only" buttons, and there is no good reason why Mac users should be
forced to enter the page range in one panel and then switch to a
different panel to select "Right Only.".
At the *very* least, the "Right Only" and "Left Only" buttons should
become grayed out when a value is typed in the Page Range field. That
would still be frustrating, but at least there would be some visual
cue what was going on.

This is FinMac2006c:
Open a file with multiple pages (at least 4).
File -> Print -> Finale 2006. Select a page range (e.g., Pages
1-4). Click the "Right Only" button. Print.
All four pages print, instead of just pages 1 and 3.
Click the "Left Only" button. Same deal.
Apparently, these buttons only work when no page range is
specified (e.g., when printing *all* left pages, or *all* right
pages).
OK. How are you specifying the page range? My hunch is that you
are using the page ranges block about two thirds down the page,
which is intended for discontinuous pages, and overrides (I think)
all of the other settings in the dialog. If you want to print only
the pages on one side between, sayt 2 and 14, enter these values in
the boxes in the "print range" portion of the dialog box.
FWIW, printing left and right pages works just fine for me in Fin
2k, 2k3, and 2k6 (last maintenance release of all, except 2k6,
where i've not yet had time to install it.
