Another very good comparison. And in terms of sheer numbers and regularity of attendance, one that shows price is not necessarily an obstacle to huge markets.

What's needed are several things:
1) perceived great entertainment;
2) convenient parking (most major league football stadiums have parking right on-site) with easy access for motorists;
3) large media attention which builds the perception referred to in #1;
4) the ability to make yourself comfortable;

Most orchestras have none of the four.
