Not so far as I can tell. They are manufactured by the same overseas companies and designed by the same people, mostly (who went to Lenovo along with the product line). But it's been just a year, so perhaps that might change. But if it does, it will be a foolish mistake, because IBM really had gotten its act together in terms of both quality/features (for which the ThinkPad was always deservedly renowned) and price (which had historically been at a premium). Personally, I've never found them that comfortable, but my clients are uniformly thrilled with them. -- David W.
