Brian,
I haven't heard any direct reports thus far, but one important thing
to keep in mind is that Fin 2006 will run, if at all, under Rosetta
emulation on a MacIntel machine -- which, if benchmarks are to
believed, will run Finale at roughly half the speed of a similarly
clocked G4.
However, (A) there *are* no similarly clocked notebook G4s, and (B)
Fin2007 will be a Universal (native MacIntel) app, so any speed hit
will be strictly temporary. There is every reason to believe that
Fin2007 on MacIntel machines will be, at minimum, every bit as fast
as Fin2006 on a dual G5.

I know this has been discussed before, but how fast does Finale
2006 run on
the new Intel-based MacBooks? Faster or slower than on a top-of-the-

PowerPC-based PowerBook? I thought that Finale was compiled using
CodeWarrior (not XCode) and therefore might have problems.
