On a Mac, I seriously doubt you are going to get a System 6 application to run under Classic (in OS X). In fact, it seems classic support will be dropped in the Intel macs.

There is this great thing called "upgrading". You know, where you pay a small fee and you can update your applications to the latest version rather than buying a full version.

I mean, when I go out an say buy a new car, I don't want to insist on taking my 1995 stereo and tires from my old car.

But, if you are insistent on staying put, I'd recommend some of the G4 upgrade cards that support OS 9 and perhaps earlier versions of Mac OS.

Am I missing something?

If I have perfectly good app, like Finale 3.7, why would I buy a new one?
