There's this too...I haven't used it but would love to hear if anyone
has.

I also use this for my Palm OS Treo phone. It works on most PDA
devices. When enabled, it only gives whoever gets a hold of your
Palm device a specified number of tries at the password, after that,
all data is destroyed.

I'd agree. I'm considering that with my iPod as well. Creating an

years I've had an iPod, I have (knock on wood) yet to lose it.
Perhaps because it is bigger than those thumb drives.........the
little thumb drive I had would get lost in my bag all the
time.........

I think I have mentioned this before but I highly recommend wiping
the thumb drive and then putting a blank encrypted disk image on
the thumb drive. Then, mount the encrypted image and then drag
whatever you are putting on the drive into the encrypted image.
Especially for sensitive information such as address books,
passwords and e-mail. That way, if you lose the drive, whoever
finds it will either have to crack the password to get to your
data, or they will have to wipe and initialize the drive to use
it. Either way, your data won't fall into the wrong hands.
