Yes. It is the correct hyphenation (may I say "co-rrec-tí-si-mo"?) ;-)
 
R and RR are not the same phonema. RR is "longer" than R
 
"RR" sounds like "Ridi (Pagliaccio)" sung by Pavarotti or Di Stefano. "R" sounds like "Perón" (sung by Antonio Banderas ;-).
