I looked into something like this to change the default font from
Maestro to BDNotes. FinaleScript does support Setting the Default font
with the command
music font = "font name"
And to change fonts, do this
search font "Times" and replace "Arial"
All this is in the Appendix in Finale's Excellent documentation. Go to
the index and look under FinaleScript

To the collective wisdom:
Is there a Finale Script, or Automator script (OS-X) (or maybe a
QuicKeys program someone has "built") that will do this:
Select all instances of Helvetica (or whatever font is chosen) and
replace with another font in multiple documents? I am converting some
older files to match more recent ones, and I end up doing this
hundreds of times. Automation would be nice.
Ideas?
TIA,
Chuck
