Hello!
I would like to make a lot of rhythm changes to a score, such as
taking all measures of 2/4 containing 2 quarters and converting them to
a dotted quarter plus an eighth?

stylistic changes, not notational alterations.

Could anyone tell me whether it's possible to rewrite rhythmic values
only without making any pitch alterations, or do I have to do this
manually, measure by measure?

There MIGHT be something in the Canonic Utilites plugin, or other Composers Tools, or maybe TG Tools COmbine Rhythms and Pitches, but I don't think so.

It might be easier to correct one part by hand, then copy it another staff, then transpose or change pitches on the copied staff. If you use Speedy Entry with a MIDI keyboard, this is relatively painless. You position the cursor over the note you want the pitch changed, hold the new pitch down on the MIDI keyboard, and hit Enter. RIght-arrow to the next note and repeat. You lose ties this way, but re-enter them before you arrow to the next note.

BTW, Cubase and Sibelius both handle this much more elegantly than Finale does. You can set them both up so that you just hit the new pitch on your MIDI keyboard and the cursor automatically moves to the next note; no "right-arrow, enter" required. Quite zippy when you have a whole piece to correct.
