only true when "beams over rests" is checked...
But you DO want beams over rests, so I would advise checking that box.
I don't know why it behaves inconsistently.
As a kludge while you're waiting for tech support to respond, you can
change the flags into a blank character and add the beams back in as a
custom straight line from Smart Shapes. It will be a pain, but at least
they should resize correctly when the measure spacing changes. Sorry I
couldn't help more.
