Thanks for checking. It just sits there about 1/3 of the way through the HP
playback preparation box. I've let it sit for almost 1/2 hour, and it never
completes. It really chews CPU, taking all the CPU idle time -- so much so
that the laptop's fan comes on.

I took the fermata definition out of the HP dialog (set it to zero, and
unchecked the box), but doing that now crashes Finale (in HP.dll).

The Finale forum reports some issues with tempo markings being missed, but
none with a hangup or HP crash (this is my WinXPSP2 install, not my Win98SE
install, so it's not the old OS problem).

I'll see what I can remove that makes it work, but it's kind of time
consuming having to re-run the program and reload the documents every time. :(
