Thanks so much, Christopher for the explanation - it's weird that they call "merging" "imploding"!! I would like to see a simple "Merge" option under the "Edit" menu so you can copy and paste without going through all that other stuff! Anyway - the 2 rhythms are identical, so it sounds like this option will work fine for me.
