I assume that's for staff lines and barlines. My files are coming in at 3.5 for both. I recall that when I upgraded to Finale 97, there was a change in the staff line thicknesses, along with the change to the Engraver font. I didn't like it, as it looked clunky, like grade-school music notation. But if I'm recalling correctly, when I upgraded to Finale 2003, the lines reverted to something thinner. I checked files that began life before 2003 and those that began life in 97 and 2003, and all of them have both 3.5 EVPUs for staff lines and barlines. Your settings make the staff lines way too thin, seems to me. One thing that bothers me about staff lines is that the thickness remains constant even for reduced staves, but staff lines are reduced in size. I can understand why, but it doesn't look right to my eye. It seems to me that barlines that are entirely within a staff group that has the same % reduction should be reduced accordingly. But it's a very minor issue, though. > I never understood why MakeMusic doesn't provide similar values in the > default files. > > Johannes > > > -- > http://www.musikmanufaktur.com > http://www.camerata-berolinensis.de > > _______________________________________________ > Finale mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale > > -- David W.
