Well, Robert's comment caused me to change my mind, somewhat, or at least to realize that perhaps the reason the non-reduction in barline thickness looks funny to me is because of the reduction in staff line thickness. The fix might very well be as Robert says, to make the two consistently unchanged. Or it might be what I suggested, to make the reduction apply to both. It does seem that nobody is happy with the current state of affairs. -- David W.
