If you can do it as an expression, you can do it as an articulation. When
you create an articulation, up in the top left hand corner you get the
choice of "character" or "shape" - you can define a shape articulation just
as you would a shape expression. Enter your characters as text in the shape
designer and arrange them to your satisfaction, create the articulation,
then work out a good default placement for it.
