Thought someone here might have a clue: A friend has a Hager clarinet, and is curious about its value and resale possibilities.

Can't help you w. this specific clarinet, however a longstanding rule of thumb for antique woodwinds is that, regardless of age, they are worth about as much as a new instrument of the same quality. (This assumes of course that the instrument is in good repair and perfect playing condition.)

For example, I have an 1860-66 flute by Firth and Co.--nothing fancy, just a good basic flute for bandsmen and amateurs. A new flute like that today would cost, what, $250-350? So it may be assumed that my flute is worth a similar amount.
