I use Reason for this kind of range problem (a number of instruments are missing a professional upper range) -- plus other things, like string harmonics, non-vibrato strings, muted/stopped horns, classical saxophone, voice, etc. > We are discussing full GPO, right? I didn't get Finale 2006, but will likely get 2007 (avoiding vertical collisions is a big deal, I think, if it works well). So far, using Finale 2005, I prefer doing my sounds in Digital Performer, where I have much more easily accessible control. Maybe with the new balance controls, and, I assume, automatic input of #64 on/off for slurs, I'll be happier with my Finale GPO sound. But it looks like, for the near future, I'll still need to keep Reason around. Thanks for the help. And Raymond, good luck with your new/old boss! The return of Mester!
