Thanks for the suggestion. My specific problem is that some characters from some fonts are dropped. Specifically, the treble-clef (Maestro) in the EPS and some of the characters from an Adobe font I created in Fontographer years ago by mixing glyphs from Times and Sonata. What appears instead is blank space.
