I could solve this by just restarting Finale 2007. Must be some kind
of memory or ressources problem. Of Finale, not of my machine, I
think, since I got 2 GB RAM.

Why the finale installer did not copy them I cannot understand. I
installed three times, everytime selecting everything manually. I
guess it's a fault in the installation script. I hope MakeMusic

Even if no other sources use the output of my Creative X-Fi, which
should not be a problem anyway because I never had a problem with
several applications using it at the same time. I switched Windows
sounds to my Hammerfall DSP, but still the same problem in Finale.
And I cannot switch the smart music soft synths to it because the
dialogue box won't open.
Well, surely I can use the Microsoft GS softsynth or the synths of
my Creative X-Fi sound system, or my external synths, but I don't
want to. I can even now open 2006 and use the SmartMusic
Softsynths there, but not in 2007.
Alas, beta-testing again. Any hints?
