It's funny that MakeMusic did advertise the articulation improvements. Instead, on the website, they tout "Improved Authorization". http://finalemusic.com/finale/features/new/authorization_improvements.aspx

But the articulations stuff is very interesting........and very welcome.

For one, your old default file won't be set up to take advantage of the new auto-flip positioning for articulations. You'd have to edit the articulations by hand, comparing the settings to articulations in the new default files. Or delete all the artics, save a library from the new default, and import it into your default. Off the top of my head, this is the only issue I can think of, but I may be missing something.

You can also open up the new default file and use FinaleScript (or Robert Patterson's Settings Scrapbook) to copy your document settings over from your old file.
