I am a DP/Performer user since 1987 who stopped upgrading Logic at version 6. I just couldn't deal with Logic mentality, that is, thinking music in Lego blocks :-) DP certainly is more intuitive than Logic. If you know tape recorder, you can start working with DP right away. Logic has too much its own way you need to memorize. On the other hand, Logic is more popular than DP so if you need to be stay compatible with other studios, you might want to go with Logic especially if you are in Europe. But you shouldn't have high hope transferring SMF from either DP or Logic to Finale. I have giving up on it long time ago. It is much, much quicker to reenter everything manually instead of importing SMF file. DP certainly gives you advantage by getting the tracks as your client intended. -- - Hiro Hiroaki Honshuku, A-NO-NE Music, Boston, MA <http://a-no-ne.com> <http://anonemusic.com> _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
