I have been asked to supply some kind of playback file (but not one that
requires Finale to run). Having used the MIDI file creation, I have tried
playing this back using a variety of widely available tools (e.g.
Quicktime, iTunes, Windows Media Player and RealPlayer). Quicktime and
iTunes produced very artificial sounds (I am only using a Soundblaster
card, but it is adequate most of the time within Finale) and although
Windows Media Player and RealPlayer sounded more like playback directly in
Finale, there were a few bizarre clashes, although they do not appear
consistently if I make another version. Does anyone have advice on the
production of good quality MIDI, MP3 or other formats? Also, does anyone
have recommendations for software to create an audio CD.

If its relevant, I'm still using Finale 2002.
