I just took a piece in cut time, went to the time sig tool, selected all,
and changed every measure to 3/2 time in an instant. Just check "rebar
music." Or am I misunderstanding what you want to do??? It can also be done
for any range of selected measures.

That's fine when you want to uniformly change the entire piece to a single
meter, but when you have frequently hanging meters, it's considerably less
useful. If, for example, I had a 7/4 measure and I decided it should be a
5/4 plus a 2/4. there's really no quick way of doing that.
The situation I have at the moment is relatively complicated, involving
completely re-barring a lengthy passage of music with changing meters that
more accurately reflect the rhythmic feel of the music. Basically the
entire passage was 4/4/ in triplets (I won't go into why it's like that -
there was a good reason). I need to get rid of all the triplets, re-bar the
whole thing with changing meters and change the tempo. As you can imagine,
it's taking a while.
