I just did an experiment with WinFin2005b, entered a long string of 8th
notes, created an expression called Swing, defined playback to be Swing,
selected Standard (which put 100.00 in the Set To Value field), and
playback worked just fine, changing as it should. And I tried playback
both ways: spacebar/click and using the playback controls. HP was set
to Standard.
So I have no idea what you're doing wrong or what you might be missing.
The only thing that I can think of is that maybe you didn't actually
select Swing for the Type field in the playback dialog?
Might there be a conflicting expression which you copied and edited and
forgot to check if any playback options were enabled which might be
overruling your Swing expression?
Sorry I can't think of anything else that might be causing your problem.
