No, this list does not appreciate attachments. That's what the other
thread has been about.
But with Notepad, say your brother-in-law in Kansas wants to hear your
latest masterwork, but he doesn't have Finale. He can install Notepad,
you can e-mail him your file and he can look at it, listen to it, print
it if he wants, even edit it (for instance adding comments such as "Too
repetitious" or something) and then he can e-mail it back to you.
But don't attach any files to your messages to this list. If you wish
to solicit some people's advice, you can ask if anybody would be
interested in seeing your file and then you would send it individually
to each of them, not to the list.

It's for people who don't own Finale, or who own an earlier version of

Not that I can think of, but don't you have Fin2007? If you do,
then there's no need at all to download Notepad.
