Will...
I will answer your question even though you are from the wrong side of Cardigan
Bay ;-) (My last name of Williams marks me as a Welshman, eh?? Welsh
ancestry, anyway!)(dwy'n siarad Cymraeg)

What plug-in is it asking for?? It really shouldn't ask for a plugin. A plugin
is a small piece of computer code that is designed to make Finale do something
the programmers didn't think of or feel like doing, to make Finale do something
it doesn't do inherently but probably should.
The best set of plugins for Finale is the full version of TG Tools. If you
spend a lot of time with Finale you will find that the pounds you spend on TG
Tools are very well spent indeed.
Another good set comes from Robert Patterson.
So could you please give us some more info as to exactly what appears on the
error message?
Jim

Subject: [Finale] Play score from earlier version

Hello All,

A colleague sent me a MUS.file of something he has written and, indeed, I can
open it with my Finale (2007) and read the score, but it will not play it. When
I try to play the piece, a message appears saying that the file has been
written using an earlier version of Finale and that I need to install a plug-in
in order to be able to play the piece. Where can I find such a plug-in and how
can I install it? I am sorry for asking something basic again, but I do not
know the answer to this question, indeed, I am not sure that I know what a
plug-in is ... With best regards, Will Denayer, Ireland
