You can remove individual staff styles by right-clicking on the staff
style bar and choosing delete.

Finale can overlook much. But I believe you can do what you want
with a
staff style.
not really, i would need to apply a staff style to all instruments a
´nd remove in the parts, and i use staff styles extensively for
percussion, and sometimes for other instruments. and finale does
not allow the option of rmoving selected staff styles (i use
multiple ones on same staves for reasons... too long to explain)
