actually i'm pretty sure now that TGTools was the cause, i remember it getting slower and slower to process as i went through the instruments. and i noticed the whole doc was .6M larger than the one i printed 3hrs ago, probably because of the massive duplicate text blocks.
i tried to delete them, and removing each group of overlapped text blocks took 2min! once i deleted a few, finale hung up, i had to force quit, and each reboot from the file causes a hang (app doesn't respond), so i had to revert to an older file, which opened fine.
all this to say until this is resolved i suggest **DO NOT USE TGTOOLS COPY MEASURE DATA**.
now... i might have just discovered that TGTools may have been the cause of the massive amount of duplicate page text blocks i mentioned a couple of hours ago, now back from printing, i didn't do much else except copy measure data across 60 instruments (several measures require very special treatment in many instruments), but don't really have time for more experimentation right now... in fact i should be pounding through parts rather than writing this email...
