I can't quote a rule, but both ornaments LOOK right to me. In fact I
can't recall ever seeing music with a trill under the staff, but
always over it. I would find it as disconcerting to have a trill
mark below its note as to have upbow or downbow marks below the
staff, although one does find those sometimes. Of course some
strange things are done in piano music, of necessity.
