Actually, it depends on how you enter it.

If you use the default perc map for the Setup Wizard's Drum Set (called Drum Set), then entering an F# an octave and a tritone below middle C with your MIDI keyboard (F#2, or MIDI note 42) will give you an X head on the top line, and a playback sound of a closed hihat. There are others, too. (C#2 Xhead sidestick, G#3 hihat stomp Xhead on space below the staff, etc.)

It involves being familiar with the GM drum map, but it is actually a very quick and easy way to enter drum parts. I put together a "cheat sheet" of the default drum map for the use of my students and me and will happily share it with anyone who asks.
