Such as offering "digital realizations" via Garritan; which I have also
offerred: No takers yet. I think everyone thinks that they have made their
lives easier, or at least cheaper. I may have to wait until they suddenly
remember why they stopped copying themselves.

Kind of like looking for a needle in a haystack; how do I find out who
knows? Who do you know??? I could just show up at concert venues at the
backstage door....Hmmm, there's got to be some way.

Should have posted this info before; sorry:

pre-Intel G5 Dual Core, 2.0 Ghz, 10.4 OS, 5.5 GB ram
Also have a 2nd Hard Drive (300 GB) dedicated to only audio files. (I
bought the Mac from someone who did a lot of video editing, so it's beefy)
Doesn't the Disk Utility bundled with OS 10 have a defrag component?
Using Apple Soundtrack to tweak and mix wav files exported from Finale.
For some reason, saving out of Finale as an aiff file reverses the stereo
imaging!?!?

I do the export via SAVE SPECIAL (as audio file) and then decide if I'm
going to do 1 instrument at a time (for smaller ensembles that require
detailed mixing), or by sections (such as Big Band or Orchestral scores).

I'm finding it hard to locate someone who uses Finale for audio output vs.
sequencing software. It does work very nicely, but using the many
parameters in HP (and the zillions of possible combinations) and the
"variations" controllers in Kontakt player are the big mysteries to me.
I'm not someone with midi background: purely analog until Garritan.

I bought the G5 because you can't expand the G4 Quicksilver (I had the 800
DP, I added the 1.8 Ghz Daystar accelerator) memory beyond the 3 slots,
and only in increments of 512 GB. (the machine was built before 1 GB chips
were available) 1.5 GB was not enough to run 12 instruments from Garritan
in a score. Dismal playback. The processor(s) were running at 88% and
gagging badly. (I watched the Apple Activity Monitor to see what was going
on. It was ugly.)
