A quirk of 2007 though is that if you have bars set without their measure numbers to be included in numbering (new feature), and then go in and change measure attributes of a later bar, it will sometimes change the measure attributes of an earlier bar as well - in all parts of course - without alerting you. Thus you can wreck all of your parts in one hit very easily with this bug.

This is a bug. The only way to avoid it is to display real measure numbers instead of defined measure numbers (program options) - in other words the function to display defined measure numbers is completely unusable.

Amen to that, and I've complained to MM about it. You can't use Defined Measure Numbers in the playback panel to set the place you want playback to start from, either.

The only way to work with having measure numbers different in the music from the real measure numbers is to carefully keep a written record (for longer or multi-movement works) of what the real numbers are relative to the defined measure numbers, and then keep the program option set to display real measure numbers.

Isn't it amazing how many new bugs they have managed to introduce in this latest upgrade and all its "fixes?"

Perhaps MM decided to balance their accounting this year by eliminating completely their Quality Control department!
