For Windows, I use a very nice FREE program called Primo PDF which does NOT print its "ad" on each file produced. Download it from www.PrimoPDF.com. As I think I remember, it has a "Press-quality" setting (or something like that) which gives the best results. Like Adobe Acrobat and others, you simply "Print" the file, selecting PrimoPDF" as the printer of choice.
