These last two are the dealbreakers for me. So much of my workflow is designed around these two things that I slow down to half my usual speed when I can't just hit a metatool, but have to scroll through looking for the expression...


-textblocks
-measure number settings (including the font)

and numerous other things which make my work a real pain the ...

Personally I have come to the conclusion that simply deleting the music is by far the most economic way of dealing with this.

Just make sure that you select All with the measure tool, double click, and set all barlines to Normal. Measure Attributes like Break Multimeasure Rest are NOT cleared as you might expect. I have gotten bitten by that one a few times before I wised up.

Usually when I have to work on a file that someone else has sent me, I end up copying the contents to one of my blank files. I lose custom spacing and things like that, but the alternative is way too frustrating.
