Not my take on that movie at all, but hey, it that wasn't the take of
the Academy Awards, given that Amadeus won Oscars for best picture,
best actor, best adapted screenplay, best costume design, best art/set
direction, best sound, best makeup. Nah, but what would *those* guys
know about a good movie.
I'm not arguing one way or the other on your original point, but the
Academy gave Titanic "best picture", so I am forced to conclude that
they don't know jack about a good movie.
What's wrong with a movie with a wonderfully heart-warming tale: Boy
meets boat, boy loses boat, boy drowns. :-)
