I would prefer that the hyphen disappear, rather than end up too
close to the following syllable (given the choice!) as it is easier
to repair. I can add a note expression hyphen and adjust it manually
if I really need to, whereas if it is too close to the next syllable
I have to remove it, then add it in again as a note expression. Two
stages instead of one for the fix.
I suppose this is as close to a fix as we are likely to get until 2008.
