It's okay with me. <g>
Although the layout of the Manage Parts dialog is not great, the text
on the button, 'Add to Part', actually gives you a clue here. 'Add to
Part' implies that there has to already be a part to add the instrument to.
Think of it in terms of pen and paper: If you want to make a new
trumpet part, you need to first grab a clean sheet of manuscript
paper before penciling in the clefs and keys sigs.
