Not that you personally would ever be caught dead in the Museum of
Modern Art in NYC, but in the entrance there is an enormous Jackson

sorry I don't remember the name of this one).
If it was MOMA, I'm not sure (there are numerous), but if it was
the Met,
it might have been the enormous Autumn Rhythm (Number 30).
Here is a little about it:

It was actually this one, called One, Number 31 (I found it on the
MOMA website.)

It appears to be similar in size, date of creation, and composition
to the one that grabbed you. Funny how such a similar painting
affected us both, and what a coincidence that we both talked about it
online within a year of each other, yet we saw the paintings
separated by 40 years or so!
Last September I wrote about this in my blog.

Below is the excerpt. I feel very different about it than Phil
does. :)
Yeah we can tell! 8-)

captured before it escapes.)
Hey, man, I'm glad you DO write that way! You are actually able to
put into words something that can in no way be put into words.
Whereas I am just kind of pointing to it and grunting, "Huh. See
that? I dig it." you are putting something across about your
reaction. I wish I could be as eloquent...
