Just how old do you think I am?

I'll be here all week, folks. Don't forget to tip your waiters.

What do I know of it? That claim is on the Louisville Orchestra website, with no other info. There is also an interesting tidbit in a Wikipedia archive page, where a person states that her great-grandfather played cello in a 'Louisville Orchestra' sometime after his arrival from Germany in 1850 (the modern LO was founded as the Louisville Civic Orchestra in 1937).

The most complete history of the LO was written by Clarita Whitney, the now-departed wife of the founder of the orchestra. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy. I've been meaning to latch on to a copy of it. I'll get back to you...
