This sounds like the abysmal enharmonic flip bug that cropped up in Fin2k7. It occurs if you've flipped an accidental earlier in the bar. However, this manifestation of the bug should have been fixed in one of the updates. Do you have the latest version?

Sorry, Rich. Nothing was fixed in any of the 2007 updates.

Yes, there was, but not all of it.

Johannes

I knew someone would challenge me on my overstatement. For the record, here are the fixes for Finale 2007 listed by MakeMusic relating to enharmonics. Whatever it was they fixed in 2007a was only part of the problem and they haven't done about it since.

Fixes in Finale 2007c

nothing

Fixes in Finale 2007b

nothing

Fixes in Finale 2007a

Simple Entry Tool
Changing the pitch of a note which has been altered to its enharmonic equivalent no longer results in misspelled notes.

Speedy Entry Tool
The Speedy Frame no longer appears to be in the wrong clef when using the left arrow key to move to the previous measure (Speedy Entry without MIDI). The whole entry is no longer deleted while pressing Backspace to delete an enharmonically altered note within a chord stack.
