This is, in essence, the same thing Tom Carryth told me after a workshop in
Nashville last month. He said "speedy's" *current functionality would be
preserved*, but could wind up in one all-inclusive tool. Or, some of
"simple's" access to articulations, expressions, etc., could be brought into
"speedy."

Bottom line is that he really seemed to grasp the situation for long-time
"speedy" users like myself (and many others on this list), and he assured me
that they *wouldn't take "speedy" functionality away from us*.

After our discussion I felt better. But I still feel that those who need
this functionality would be wise to make their feelings known to MM. I've
heard that in Finale's world, 20 is a somewhat magic number (i.e., 20
requests for the same feature). I think we should leave no doubt.

So.. to sum up, the sky may be chipping around the edges, but it doesn't
appear to be falling at the moment.

Best,

Don Hart
