I've done the same thing using Articulations, which might be what
you're already doing. But for multiple, stacked fingering for piano
chords, it might work best to set up a variety of expressions by
shape. You could get the spacing just the way you want. But you
would have to define a different one for each combination of
fingerings. I've tried this with arrangements I've done for my
students, but in reality, it's a pain. I just stack up articulations
using meta tools, and it goes pretty fast for me, since I'm used to
it. If I have a lot of repetition of the same combinations, I use
Robert's Mass Copy extensively.

I also use articulations with metatools for stacked fingerings. Considering you only have five numbers, you can easily have 6 positions defined for each figure, using the numbers themselves and the letters as metatools (using the disposition of the keyboard to remember which is which).

12345
QWERT=12345 one notch lower (or higher)
etc.

This is much easier and faster than trying to define all the possible combinations, in my opinion.

I absolutely agree. As I said it is a pain any other way. I haven't taken a look at the font she suggested, but I will once some time opens up this weekend. But I'm so used to articulations as fingerings, I don't really think about any more. I tried setting up various shapes with the more common fingerings for piano music, which I do a ton of for my students, and I gave up. Articulations were much faster and I was more used to them.
