I have a 3 1/2 year old Mac G4 laptop with a wireless mouse and keyboard. My wireless mouse died a couple of weeks ago, and I just bought a brand new wireless Mac "mighty mouse" from an Apple Store. I configured the mouse to work with my laptop, but now when I click on anything, all I get is a white highlighted menu (actually, different menus, depending where and what it is that I click on with the mouse).

I'm sure this is a simple thing to fix, but I just can't seem to find where the appropriate menu is to get my mouse to simply click on something and open up the files, or even open up an application on my dock (when I click on an application icon in the dock, all I get is a box that says "show in finder").

Any help would be appreciated. Private replies please so as not to clog up everyone else's mailbox.
