Yes, I have that checked. But also in 2007, where I don't get the same
result, as you can see.
Then, there's some some other difference in your copy of 2007, or in
your file. With the Lyrics box checked, it _should_ push other notes to
the right if the syllable is too wide.
I tested adding a syllable to the first of a couple of 16th notes and I
get the same behavior in 2007 as in 2008, when the Lyrics box checked.
