That sounded plausible, so I removed the chords for a test, and just used
pizz on a single note. It still sounded the previous arco note as pizz
most of the time -- not every time, but I can't find a trigger for it. In
my usual fashion, I've deleted measures and recreated them, and the result
is the same (the passage is about 10 measures). Changing from note to
staff expressions makes no difference, nor does choosing "position in
measure" as opposed to attached note. I've dragged them, deleted and
recreated them, even used "position" and moved them way out of place to
see what would happen. They still affect the notes in exactly the same
(wrong) way no matter where they appear.

So I think I'm with Johannes on this one -- that it's another buggy HP
implementation -- unless there's another idea.

Trying to create a left-hand pizz playback with right-hand arco is another
bear, but I won't even get into that one. Let's just say it works, but
then turns off all HP from that point forward. :)

Many thanks ... since these have to be posted quickly, I just went with a
demo with mistakes, and let the commissioner know it was not an accurate
demo.
