My Apple Wireless Keyboard does not have a numlock key, hence my
confusion. Neither did the wired Apple USB keyboard I used prior to
obtaining the Wireless keyboard (this is the same keyboard Apple
shipped with its iMacs and Mac Pros until quite recently).
These are both the older, white plastic models with full key travel --
not the newer, slim aluminum iMac keyboards with laptop-style keys.
These new keyboards do have a numlock function (shared with the F6
key), but this is a recent development. For many years, non-laptop
Apple keyboards did NOT have a numlock key -- it was standard on
laptops only.
