Got it Christopher. Thanks so much. I will document this so as not to lose this solution.

Finale does this sometimes with old documents. I don't know why. You
will have to manage and create new parts manually.

Under Document, select Manage Parts.

Click on Edit PArt Definition

In the left box, this is the part you are going to edit. Choose
Piano. The contents of this part should now appear in the middle box.

In the middle box, you have a bunch of stuff, probably including a
group. Click each one and hit Remove From Part.

Now from the right box, choose the piano group (this might be called
something like Group 3 or it be called Piano, but since it is a group
it will have a triangle beside it. You are choosing to put the whole
group. If in your score the group called Piano includes the bass and
drums, you will have to remove them while in the score, not here, but
I don't think that is the case. This should fix the piano part.

Now to create a bass and drum part manually. Under the left box,
click New Part.

Under the middle box, click Edit Part Name and call it Bass.

In the right box, choose the bass staff and click Add to Part

Repeat for the drums.

Yes, I tried deleting existing parts, at your suggestion, then
created a new set. Still I get no bass and drums, but they are
still listed in a folder under Piano. How do I un-include them in
the piano part?
I am attached the score here.
