Lengths can't be adjusted differently, only positioning.
Fortunately, it is relatively easy, though a bit of a kludge, to have
2 different lines, one that only shows in the score and another that
only shows in the score.
While in the score, set the line that should only appear in the score
to Hide. Then make it appear only in the score by holding the command
key while you switch it back to Show.
Then in each part, enter a new line. Set it it Hide with the command
key held (which will hide it in the score AND parts) then set it to
Show without the command key to make it show in only this part.
Or if the line is to be the same length in ALL parts, set it to Show
while in the score, then set it to Hide while still in the score
holding the command key.

The line needs lengthening in the part, but not in the score.
Any suggestions, besides using two different lines?
