Hm, not really a jazz repeat. Everyone uses that as a one-measure repeat. The problem is what to do if the passage is longer or shorter than a measure.

Darcy's suggestion is an excellent one. It allows one to preserve measure numbering past the passage with non-coinciding repeats.

BTW, do you see what happens to quoted passages in your messages? I left some in for you to see. Do you knwo what causes that, as it makes the message hard to read quickly.
